MODULE 6:
INTERSECTIONALITY AS POLICY
Introduction:
This module transitions us theorizing intersectionality theory to doing intersectionality. That is not to say that praxis is not grounded in theory and theorizing is not part of praxis.
We will concentrate on intersectionality as it pertains to policy, with a particular emphasis on recent frameworks and tools designed for conducting intersectional policy analysis and policy development.
Learning goals:
In this unit, you will:
- Enhance skills in conducting critical literature reviews.
- Deepen your understanding of intersectionality as a structural analysis of power.
- Apply principles of intersectional policy-making and analysis to your projects.
- Compare and contrast two policy analysis frameworks: the Intersectionality-Based Policy Analysis Framework (IBPA) and the Indigenous Intersectionality-Based Policy Analysis Framework (IIBPA).
